Simena Castle is home to important ruins from the ancient Lycian period. When this castle, which was used in the Middle Ages, is reached, the theater with seven rows of seats, which was built by carving a rock, first attracts the attention of many people. Located in the interior of the castle, which consists of the medieval walls, this theater has a capacity of 300 people. It also has features such as having the smallest structure compared to the theaters in other Lycian cities.
In the inner castle part, besides the theater, there is a temple that has survived to the present day with a few blocks and a stoa connected with the temple. In addition to these, you can see the remains of structures used as water cisterns, rock tombs, churches and mosques in Simena Castle.
